Emily Brontë (1818 - 1848) was a British novelist and poet. She is a representative of the Victorian era in British literature. Besides her only but nevertheless famous novel Wuthering Heights (1847), Emily published with her sisters Anne and Charlotte a collection of poems. This material deals with her poem Hope.
