- Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) was an Irish poet, playwright and novelist. During the late 19th century his enormous success in writing and his dandified lifestyle made Oscar Wilde one of the most celebrated persons of London. Besides his famous novel The Picture of Dorian Gray as well as various plays and short stories, Oscar Wilde is primarily known for his poetry. This material deals with his poem "My Voice".
